On Saturday, November 19th, we hosted our second STEM night. 32 kids from grades 2 - 5 along with 10 parents joined us as we introduced the concept of air resistance through our hands-on parachute building activity and a demonstration of a small parachute being launched into the sky. Students built parachutes from plastic bags and string while applying the principles they learned. Afterwards, students participated in a series of friendly competitions where they tested their parachutes in action to earn awards. We ended the evening by quizzing the students, awarding Techno Titans shirts to winners of the competitions, and enjoying some snacks.
